Welcoming a new decade
Since we are starting a new decade, I thought it would be only fitting to present my first blog post with a New Years Eve 2020 theme.
Vampire Diaries: Vienna Edition, am I right?
Confession: I am NOT a New Years Eve fan. I don't know what it is about the day, but for some reason it brings me heavy feelings of nostalgia. It's the closing of a chapter, severing of past ties, and this year it was the ending of a whole decade.
I thought to myself, what better way to put a positive spin on the holiday than to invite my best friend from North Macedonia to celebrate the New Year with me.

SO LET'S TALK DETAILS
We started the night off at my dear friend Cris' house, situated in the first district of the city. Popping the first bottle of champagne, we of course held a lengthy photoshoot, not to miss out on our outfits before things started to get blurry. A few glasses of champagne later, we travelled to a mutual friend's house in the 18th district, entering a Russian paradise, beaming with gorgeous decor and our friends donning the most beautiful sparkling dresses. Everyone was dressed to impress.
It was almost 12am, and we all gathered outside for a personal fireworks show. 3...2...1, HAPPY NEW YEAR. It was beautiful. magical. captivating. The fireworks display lit the sky in all different colours, welcoming the new decade. And yes, I did get my New Years kiss(es). The whole event was even better than I had imagined it. New friends were made, old friends were celebrated, and I could not think of anyone else I would have rather spent it with.
Tip: Open Champagne away from you. Not even slightly close to you. AWAY. Champagne showers happened and well, I couldn't complain - let's be real. My dress definitely needed an extra thorough dry-clean though.
Verdict: New Years Eve 2020 was better than I dreamt of. It was the first year I felt like I was in the right place at the right time. Everything seemed to just fit. I am so grateful for all the new faces who have become some of my closest friends this year, and who I got to spend this magical evening with. I'm ready for you 2020!
